ICT Street Team is a 501(c)3 providing free comprehensive primary care to the homeless in Wichita, KS free of charge. This project will provide ICT Street Team with the needed funds to purchase tablet computers, mobile hotspots, and purchase a HIPAA compliant web cloud to store patient records and improve continuity of care. As a mobile operation, access to patient records can be difficult. This will allow our clinicians to access medical records from under bridges in the woods,
Comprehensive healthcare services to the homeless are often difficult to coordinate using a traditional medical model. Using an innovative strategy, ICT Street Team provides the homeless with free comprehensive services including medical visits, prescriptions, and laboratory testing.
With the improved technology, the Street Team members will be able to better coordinate care, charting in real time using our electronic medical record system.
Improvement of documentation will assist with continuity of care and improve our ability to aggregate necessary data for quality improvement programming. This will create a full medical record for our patients.
