From the heart of a rural community, Doña Lucrecia’s garden has become a shining example of hard work and a strong commitment to healthy eating. Since beginning operations in 2024, her family garden has grown into a key productive space: during the last season, they achieved an abundant harvest that not only fed her family but also supplied fresh food to neighbors in the area, strengthening local development and food security.
For this fall-winter season, Lucrecia and her family—her husband and two children—set out to maintain the same level of production by incorporating composting practices and using the Kokue app, a digital tool that offers recommendations to improve garden management. Her story reflects the real impact of promoting food sovereignty through sustainable agriculture and accessible technology.
Lucrecia sums it up with pride: “It makes me proud to see what we’ve planted grow. It’s not easy, but with effort and perseverance, the land always responds.” Her son Jorge adds: “I wasn’t very interested at first, but now I see that the garden is also about the future.”
This testimony showcases not only the results of one family’s dedication, but also the transformative power of opportunity when it reaches those who need it most. Thank you for being part of this change.
