I CARRY YOUR KINDNESS IN MY HEART

By RUPA KUMARI | SPONSORED GIRL STUDENT

MY VILLAGE IS VERY POOR
MY VILLAGE IS VERY POOR
Nanaste everyone from Bihar,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Rupa, (name changed according to our child protection policy), and I am a young girl from a small village in Bihar, India. , Your kindness has touched my life in ways words can hardly describe, and I want to take a moment to thank you .
Growing up in Bihar, where opportunities for girls like me are often limited, I have seen many of my friends drop out of school to help their families or get married at a young age. For a long time, I feared that my dreams of education would remain just that—dreams. But then I joined the People First  Scholarship Scheme for girls which you have supported.
Because of your generosity, I am now able to attend school, carry books in my hands, and dream of a future I once thought was impossible. Every morning, when I put on my uniform and walk to school, I feel a sense of pride and hope  Your support has not only given me the gift of education but also the belief that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
My family, though filled with love, struggles to make ends meet. My father works tirelessly in the fields, and my mother takes on odd jobs to support us. They have always wanted the best for me, but the weight of poverty often made it difficult for them to provide for my education.  You have not only changed my life but also brought immense joy to my family.
I promise you that I will not let this opportunity go to waste. I study hard every day, determined to make you proud. I dream of becoming a teacher one day so that I can help other girls in my village receive the same gift of education that you have given me.
Thank you for your help and giving me a chance to shine.

I may not know your face, but I carry your kindness in my heart every single day.
With great gratitude,
Rupa  (age 13)
