I am Naresh sir Director of Education at People First,,
Because of your generous support, this has been a landmark year for us in Bihar. Despite challenges posed by the monsoon floods and infrastructure gaps in rural districts, we successfully retained 95% of our sponsored students and significantly improved literacy rates across our partner villages.
In Bihar, education is not just about learning facts; it is about dignity. It is about a child standing tall in a world that often overlooks them.
Here is a note from Anjai age 13 one of or students ( we have changed the name)
"Before the centre opened, I had never touched a computer. Now I am teaching my mother how to video call my brother in Delhi." on her phone.
Anjali was at high risk of dropping out after Grade 8 due to the distance of the high school and societal pressure. Your sponsorship provided her with a bicycle (supplementing the state scheme) and, crucially, access to our leaning support centre
Because of your unwavering support over the past year, children in some of India’s most underserved rural communities are no longer just dreaming of a better life—they are building one. In a region where only 48% of the population historically studied up to Class 10, your contributions have provided the critical bridge between poverty and possibility.
