Bhumi's Ignite+ program focuses on enhancing school infrastructure to address the critical need for safe and hygienic facilities, especially for young girls in underserved communities. By renovating existing facilities, adding new infrastructure, and ensuring quality outcomes through careful project execution, the program aims to improve learning outcomes and promote gender equality and empowerment.
In many underserved communities, access to basic facilities like clean toilets remains a significant challenge, especially for young girls. The lack of proper infrastructure affects the physical environment of schools and poses barriers to education, particularly for girls. Without safe and hygienic facilities, girls may feel uncomfortable or embarrassed attending school regularly, impacting their learning outcomes and overall well-being.
Bhumi's Ignite+ program addresses this critical need by enhancing school infrastructure. The program supports renovating existing facilities and adding new infrastructure, including Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, new physical and digital infrastructure, and enhancements to learning spaces and equipment. So far, we have set up 133 toilet units, benefitting 4275 children. Bhumi ensures that every child has access to safe and hygienic facilities.
The impact of the Ignite+ program is profound. The program benefits thousands of children in underserved communities with initiatives like renovating toilet units and providing safe drinking water facilities. By improving the physical environment of schools and ensuring access to safe and hygienic facilities, Bhumi not only enhances learning outcomes but also promotes gender equality and empowerment.
