With its corporate and individual volunteers and supporters from all over Turkey and dreams that reach out to the world, Needs Map continues to grow and develop every day. Needs Map is a volunteer-based solidarity platform that ensures needs are met by supporters through contactless delivery without the use of warehouses or stores. It operates as an effective, user-friendly platform that creates social good within the circular economy.
Needs Map aims to address significant national and global challenges such as poverty reduction and social inequality through transparent and efficient resource distribution. By actively and effectively using GIS technologies for real-time data visualization and analysis, Needs Map enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of humanitarian aid and disaster response efforts, setting new standards in the sector.
As social and economic challenges deepen, resulting in increased inequality of opportunity, Needs Map produces solutions for all underserved communities. To this end, it has implemented and continues to implement numerous projects in collaboration with various national and international stakeholders in areas such as basic needs, education, culture, arts, sports, and health.
In times of disasters and crises, which are becoming more frequent in Turkey and around the world, providing comprehensive and effective solutions to emerging needs is crucial for countries. Needs Map has gained extensive experience in effective coordination, assistance, and recovery efforts and has strengthened its ability to adapt its technological capabilities accordingly. It continues to operate actively in the earthquake-affected region, particularly following the Kahramanmaras Earthquake in Turkey on February 6, 2023.
In its efforts to provide solutions to social problems, Needs Map includes local economic actors in its activities to support and sustain local economic development, which is often neglected due to centralized humanitarian aid mechanisms.
