In the past few months IMIFAP has made great strides in laying the groundwork for the second phase of the “Children Left Behind” program in the community of Orizabita, Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo. The new program was received well by the community and together the decision was made to begin training workshops in April. In recent weeks we have been working with community groups, such as the local authorities and a group of mothers, fathers and care takers to plan the implementation activities. Our facilitators are finalizing the development the didactic materials, including, manuals, guides, books, games, etc. for the three target age groups, 0 – 3 years, 3 – 6 years, and 6 – 8 years.
We are excited about the progress and can’t wait to share more with you next month. Thank you again for all your support, this program would not be possible without you!
