Dear donors, we are very happy inform about great advances in this project.
By now, Group I has already finished the protocol project. This was done in November 2022, and since then we have had great feed- back from parents already willing to know the results of the project to see if they can continue the ingestion of the sachet. This group has finalized with 37 kids.
During this time, we have also made other great advances:
1- we have encountered with several other families connected to one other special needs school and another 22 families have pop into the project. Once initial evaluations were over, they started taking the sachet 20th December 2022. They will finish the project by the end of May and are being monitored constantly.
2- we also found a group of 20 families, original from a rural environment, willing to participate on the fecal evaluation, to prove if there is any difference between the microbiota results from rural and urban environments. They all participated in December 2022 and in January 2023 got their results.
All together, we have achieved 79 kids participating in this project! Is an incredible number of participants!
The next steps are set as follow: we have already hired a data analyst, who is already receiving all individual results to analyze them as a group. This person, together with the medical team, shall throw conclusions and hopefully, will write a scientific article with the findings.
Also, at the end of April 2023, we will celebrate our IV Neuroscientific Symposium in Madrid, where the team will present the initial results to the public.
We hope this good news will provide you with enough motivation to still help us continue our research! We thank you all in advance for your help.
