We plan to expand and renovate the existing pre-school building at Kiteghe Primary in south-eastern Kenya to accommodate an extra class of pupils who are currently learning in the office.
The Kiteghe pre-school has outgrown its current building and while there are now three classes there are only two classrooms. One class is being conducted in a room designed to be an office and with insufficent room for desks children are sitting on the floor to learn.
By creating space for an extra classroom we will improve the learning environment for the very youngest children at school.
Creating a conducive learning environment will help the school to provide an education worth having and help build the foundations for successful learning in primary school.
