In the rural commune of Zawara in Burkina Faso, the right to well-being of many orphaned children from poor households is not protected, which negatively affects their lives. This project will help improve the well-being of 50 orphaned children from disadvantaged households by providing them with monthly food kits consisting of 25 kg of rice, 10 kg of pasta, 3 liters of oil, and 2 kg of salt, clothing kits including 4 clothes and 1 pair of shoes, as well as free healthcare.
The right to well-being of orphaned children from poor households is not protected or respected. As a result, these orphaned children do not have regular access to food, clothing, and healthcare.
The project will use a sponsorship approach to address the issue of inadequate protection of the right to well-being for orphaned children from poor households. Sponsorship will help protect the right to well-being of 50 orphaned children from poor households in the rural commune of Zawara by providing them with food kits for regular access to meals, clothing kits, and free healthcare.
Orphaned children will have the same rights as other children and this will reduce social inequalities within the community.
