Located in Vientiane, XonPhao is a social enterprise founded by people with disabilities, with 17 disabled people making and selling handicrafts to become self-reliant. However, their work space, showroom are too poor and old. Even if the goods are same thing, it looks different depending on the showroom. We need to improve the environment to give wings to their dreams.
The front yard is a sandy road full of dust, and it is inconvenient to walk around on crutches or wheelchairs, and there are no proper signs, making it easy for customers to just pass. The workshop has no tables and lights, so my whole body aches and my eyes ache. The showroom is old and aging, so it does not make carefully crafted crafts shine.
We can rearrange the entrance yard. Also hang new signs. A comfortable driveway and clear guidance will lead to more visits. Workplaces and showrooms can be renovated. Artists with disabilities can work in a more comfortable space. Also, if a showroom is maintained, even a product of the same quality can be displayed in a nice space, it can catch customers' eyes even more.
Disabled Artists working in XonPhao become financially self-reliant and gain confidence in being able to do something on their own. Finally, they can become self-reliant outside the center and move on as a member of society.
