We are a hospital that cares for all, specializing in complex diseases with a human-centered approach. 85% of our patients are low-income and face major barriers to quality care. With 75 specialties in one place, we offer advanced services including burn care, cancer, nervous system disorders, transplants, cardiology, trauma, and rehab. Our mission is to ensure that every patient receives high-quality, dignified care-regardless of their financial situation.
We are currently facing major financial challenges in the Colombian healthcare system, driven by underfunding, and compounded by access barriers and deep social inequalities in our region. As a hospital foundation, we are committed to our social mission: providing healthcare to all people, regardless of their financial situation. Every year, we invest over $2.5 million (USD) to cover the costs of care for patients who lack the resources to pay.
We are dedicated to providing care for the most complex illnesses, and serving populations facing social vulnerability who require additional support to ensure a dignified treatment process. Our commitment extends beyond medical care-we support caregivers, offer social programs, and help cover essential needs such as hygiene kits, diapers, food, and transportation. By delivering comprehensive, human-centered, and dignified care, we create a place where healing and hope is always possible.
Every year, we care for more than 10,000 people in our hospital. We save lives, accompany people through illness, and provide humanized, comprehensive care. We are a vital force in healthcare here in Colombia, providing a hospital where Indigenous people, displaced families, farmers, and all those in need find the care they deserve.
