Challenge

As an open-door hospital, we face the challenge of serving a diverse population, mostly in vulnerable situations. Beyond providing high-quality medical care, we strive to uphold the human dignity of our patients during their illnesses, addressing issues of hygiene, safety, and emotional support. With 110 years of experience and as a NPO, we are confronted with the challenge of modernizing our technology to continue being a driving force for health and well-being for anyone who needs it.

Solution

We have a social work team dedicated to safeguarding the holistic well-being of our elderly population, addressing the basic needs of the most vulnerable. This includes providing hygiene kits, diapers, blankets, and shelter for caregivers. In our efforts to offer support throughout the treatment processes, we aim to introduce cultural activities to enhance the emotional well-being of our patients.Through donations, we upgrade outdated technological equipment, ensuring medical excellence and safety

Long-Term Impact

We care for the lives of the most vulnerable individuals in the region, many of whom come from rural areas of the department, as well as from other departments such as Choco, Caldas, and Cordoba, including indigenous populations, uninsured individuals, and migrants. We care for the lives of over 10,200 elderly individuals each year, providing dignified, humanized, and loving treatment that enhances life and promotes well-being in old age.
