This project will equip 150 HIV positive teens who lost their parents during the massive landslides in Bududa district of eastern Uganda with life skills like hairdressing, tailoring and carpentry . Upon graduation each child shall be given a start up kit in order to start and practice their skills acquired. This will enable them care for their basic necessities of life like food and putting up nice shelters for survival.
There are currently over 300 HIV+ teens living in the slopes of bududa district of eastern Uganda. These children suffer from hunger,lack basic needs because they themselves care about their lives having lost their parents during the massive landslides in Bududa. The lucky ones got caretakers but these ones suffer locally without food, clothing and no basic education because of poverty. This project will help over 150 teens equipping them with skills for sustainable living standards.
The starving children will be trained in life skills and will graduate with a set of start up kit in order to start up their own businesses. These will enable them raise money from sales of what they make in order to acquire basic necessities of life.
