Challenge

The problem is the high maternal and child mortality rates in Balochistan. Maternal mortality rate is estimated at 300 per 100,000 live births, exceeding the national average of 176. Child mortality rate is 86 per 1,000 live births, higher than the national average of 72. Limited access to quality health services, lack of skilled birth attendants, poor nutrition, poverty, and lack of awareness contribute to these alarming rates. Urgent intervention is needed to address these issues.

Solution

This project will address the high maternal and child mortality rates in Balochistan through a comprehensive approach. By strengthening healthcare services, improving access to care, enhancing nutrition & raising awareness, we aim to save lives. Establishing additional maternal and child health centers, mobile clinics, and telemedicine services will ensure better healthcare access. Training programs will enhance the skills of healthcare providers. These interventions will reduce mortality rates.

Long-Term Impact

By reducing maternal and child mortality rates in Balochistan, we can create a lasting positive change in the region. Improved healthcare services, increased access to care, enhanced nutrition, and raised awareness will contribute to healthier pregnancies, safer deliveries, and improved child health. This will lead to a reduction in the burden on healthcare systems, increased productivity, and economic development. The long-term impact will be healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.
