The Ngao Foundation has made great steps towards achieving the long-term target of providing access to clean water for 2000 households in Kangemi. Over the last four months the water refills from various households greatly increased:
The overall household number reached has increased from 317 to 730 households. The rise has been attributed to increasing community awareness campaigns within Kangemi, the construction of a new water tank with a capacity of 10000 litres to ease the burden of collecting polluted water from rivers has also led to this increase. The addition of the motorbike has also eased transportation of the water, therefore, allowing us to deliver water to the beneficiaries living in far places.
The emergence of challenges.
Due to the rising demand for clean water acquiring materials( water refill bottles, pumps and seals) for the new households has been a challenge for the organisation. We are continually pleading with our highly esteemed donors to continue to support us in achieving the goal.
