As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, I am pleased to provide you with an update on the progress of our project, "Enhance Access to Clean Water and Sanitation," during the last quarter.
Background: The Ngao Foundation identified a pressing water challenge at St. Joseph Primary and Nursery School in Kangemi in the preceding months. Despite having sufficient water storage, the school faced difficulties ensuring the cleanliness of the water, especially during the dry season when dust, leaves, and debris from the roof contaminated the stored rainwater.
Intervention: Thanks to your invaluable support, The Ngao Foundation promptly responded to this challenge by installing a water filtration machine. This intervention has significantly impacted the lives of over 650 children, providing them with access to safe and clean drinking water.
Outcomes: The positive outcomes of this initiative are already apparent:
Improved Attendance: Children are attending classes more regularly, resulting in a notable reduction in absenteeism as reported by the teachers.
Enhanced Well-Being: Children are not only healthier but also happier. The improved taste of the water, coupled with its cleanliness, has contributed to a positive change in their daily lives.
Community Involvement: To ensure the sustainability of this project, The Ngao Foundation actively engaged the children and teachers. They participated in the installation of the water filtration machine, the cleaning of water tanks, and ongoing training sessions on the importance of drinking safe and clean water.
Gratitude: We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you and all our friends who have made this initiative possible. Your generosity has touched lives and created a ripple effect of positive change within the community.
As we move forward, we remain committed to providing updates on the continued impact of this project. We believe that through collaborative efforts, we can create lasting change and contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve.
Thank you for being a vital partner in our mission to enhance access to safe clean drinking water and sanitation.
