Challenge

Kinadutu girls are faced with many social-cultural problems among them lack of food. This results in girls missing school on several days as they provide causal labor to put a meal on the table. This further affects their performance in school leading to poor esteem and eventually school drop out. This is further compounded in that they cant get to colleges and become employment redundant. They either get to early marriage and the cycle is repeated all over again.

Solution

KENWA project addresses the problem that makes young girls fail to attend the school which is food and sanitation pads and further support families to be self-sustainable in developing economic activities that will provide food for the family and let the girl(s) attend school without interference. Your support will support 500 girls attend school and be labor-market competent hence economically stable families.

Long-Term Impact

The long impact is that these girls will be able to m Providing food during school will alleviate these children's hunger during class as well as encourage regular school attendance. School lunch programs have been shown to increase math scores, student concentration, and general achievement. This will boost their self-esteem, increased vocation skills become labor market relevant and become community resource persons and finally have functional families.
