90% of small and medium enterprises in Africa face challenges due to lack of business development support leading to stagnant growth or failure. Mzuzu E-hub developed the Bizcubation program to support 25 start up enterprises with three months capacity building workshops, access to office space, and three months implementation support through mentorship, investment support and expert coaching.
Malawi has 23%youth unemployment rate with 73% of the population consisting of youth. This has affected the job market and reduced job opportunities for most youth leading to unproductivity within communities.
Through this intervention we will support youth to start a business or if already running a business we will provide access to resources, tools, knowledge and necessary information on how to operate a successful business that will in turn create jobs for other youth.
Our long term impact through this intervention is job creation. The more the small businesses become successful companies, the more jobs will be created and the more innovative solutions will be incorporated in the enterprises, the more socioeconomic problems will reduce in malawi.
