The criminal system in Australia is failing

By Eva and Tyrone | Project Manager and CEO

Dear Supporters,

We are well into the holiday season and we still see an increase in young people from Indigenous youths entering the Australian justice system and although Australia isn't a poverty country they are still failing these young people and so it falls to us to lead the way for change.

Our project is partnered with the University of New South Wales and together we are working in a very special partnership with a few indigenous communities to offer safe safes and support for young people within the community so they do not enter the justice system.

After lots of meetings with the community leaders and many of the young people in these communities towards the end of 2022 we have identified a priority list of support for these communities. The University will be using their resources to help with research projects for the communities that we hope will influence government, local authorities and business long term and Action Change as a charity will be fundraising to help the young people create a safe meeting space for young people that will include access to drinking water and shaded areas as currently they have no space and the heat in mainland Australia is too much.

Once we open this space young leaders will take the role to engage others peer to peer and provide them with other activities and education that will hopefully decrease the number of youths turning to crime.

All donations moving forward will be focused on this priority list and we thank you for being part of the solution and we are so happy that the young people and community members are so engaged and leading this project for us - 2023 is going to be successful for us!

Thank You,
