Brighter Future For Australian Indigenous Youths

Dear Supporters,

A good quality education lays the foundation for success in life and individuals that complete their schooling are more likely to find employment when they leave school.

Within the educational system in Australia, Indigenous students nationally show an attendance rate of 83.2 per cent compared with 93.0 per cent for non-Indigenous students. Indigenous attendance rates are lower in remote areas and drops down to as low as 64.6.

This year our program has already started on a high as we’ve actively been engaging with a number of Indigenous tribes and our team are meeting with the Mondulkiri tribe in February to facilitate a number of students development.

For many children, they learn from an early age what they want to be when they grow up. However, for these children, many of them are unaware of their potential and equally, the opportunities that they have outside of their current circumstances. The aim of this project is to focus on young students by equipping and preparing them to engage in services, support and education across Australia. We are looking forward to providing these opportunities to young students.
