The first half of 2025 has already been full of momentum and milestones: we've inspired over 8,300 young people across Germany through our coding courses — and we're just getting started!
One of the highlights this spring was GIRLS' DAY on April 3rd, where we reached over 900 girls in collaboration with our amazing partner companies. Together, we helped them discover the world of coding and explore exciting career paths in tech.
Another very special moment for us was the March release of a new title in Germany’s iconic WAS IST WAS children's book series:
"WAS IST WAS Naturwissenschaften easy! Informatik."
Authored by a team from Hacker School, this book brings IT knowledge to life for kids and encourages them to stay curious. We’re especially thrilled to share that volume 2 is already in the works!
This spring also saw the publication of our 2024 Impact Report, following the Social Reporting Standard (SRS). Since 2021, we've been tracking our impact and making it transparent for all supporters. The report is available in German on our website.
And just in: our CEO, Dr. Julia Freudenberg, was honored with the German Startup Award 2025 as Impact Entrepreneur of the Year on May 22nd — a proud recognition of the work we do together!
Looking ahead: Starting June 1st, our school courses will feature an exciting new element — a 15-minute AI module. We believe that AI will shape the future of programming, and we want our participants to be prepared.
Thank you for supporting us in our mission to make digital education accessible, inspiring, and fun for all!
