A lot is happening at Hacker School as we enter the final stretch of 2025.
This year, we have already reached and inspired more than 22,000 young people, moving us closer to our mission of making coding accessible to even more youth nationwide. Each step brings us nearer to our long-term vision: ensuring that every young person has the chance to explore programming before choosing a career path.
From September 15–19, 2025, the CITY Hacker School Worms 2.0 will take place at Worms University of Applied Sciences. In hands-on coding sessions, nearly 900 seventh graders will create their very first website within just three hours and take their first steps into algorithmic thinking.
We are incredibly proud to bring this unique initiative to Worms, together with Worms University, dedicated students, and the Hopp Foundation. Under the patronage of Minister President Alexander Schweitzer, CITY Hacker School Worms 2.0 shows how strongly our community stands for digital education and new opportunities for young people.
Another exciting highlight of this year was our live forum Hamburg Codes the Future, where schools, committed companies, and policymakers came together to discuss the future of digital education. Highlights included exploring responsible uses of AI in school courses with fobizz, new AI tools for teachers, and an inspiring example of corporate social responsibility from Die Techniker. With the strong support of local partners and foundations, we are driving more school courses in Hamburg and making future-ready education a reality.
As we approach the final months of the year, we remain committed to carrying our momentum forward — thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. Your contributions make it possible for us to build new partnerships and host inspiring events that bring our mission to life. With your continued support, we are confident that 2025 will become one of our most impactful years yet.
