Hacker School - Our Year 2025
With an energetic start into 2026, it is also time to reflect on our last years' progress. As usual, our Impact Report will be published on our website in the next months.
This year, we have already reached and inspired more than 25,000 young people, moving us closer to our mission of making coding accessible to even more youth nationwide. In 2025, we inspired over 14,000 childrens in schools, over 10,000 on events, over 1,000 on weekends
Each step brings us nearer to our long-term vision: ensuring that every young person has the chance to explore programming before choosing a career path.
Community work and exchange: Inspirer event in Hamburg
As part of our community work, an Inspirer event was recently held in Hamburg. The aim of the event was to strengthen personal exchange within our network, gain new impetus for cooperation, and further consolidate the bond between our volunteer Inspirers.
Our community manager Ranin Foutih looks back on an evening that was characterized by intense discussions, mutual support, and an open, appreciative atmosphere.
As part of the 2025 charity voting campaign, Hacker School gGmbH was awarded by GlobalGiving in partnership with Riot Games.
The campaign was aimed at the international gaming community: thousands of players took part in the vote and selected their favorite non-profit organizations.Hacker School gGmbH is one of the selected organizations and will receive its share of funding as a result. This funding represents an important contribution to the further development of our work. It strengthens our financial resources and enables us to sustainably expand and further develop our educational offerings in the field of digital education. At the same time, the award is an expression of the broad support we receive from a committed community and underscores the social relevance of our work.
We are looking forward to next year and want to get even more children excited about programming.
