We are working with the leaders of Santa Clara´s Youth Association in training their planification skills and their knowledge about the structure of an organisation. We desgined different forms that would help them conceptualize their own project proposals, monitoring and evaluations. The structure of projects have been discussed and systematized in order to be able to have a better understanding of the work that has been done in the past years. This structured conception of the process of constituting and improving their own association will help them in the future to apply to fundings and grants for themselves. Also a better understanding of their long term goals will lead to a better project- and activities implementation. The training process is continuous and has already shown some results.
The work together with Alianza Arkana has been divided into 4 areas:
Entrepreneurship
Reforestation
Cultural activities
Workshops and Training
All of them according to the necessities of their community and also to their own social skills. Reports will be presented every two months. Weekly meetings to train these skills were recognised by them as fundamental for their own learning process. Systematization and structure for a better understanding of the projects and activities realized in Santa Clara.
As part of the Workshops and Training area an exchange will take place in the end of July. Members of the Youth Association will travel to Saposoa, San Martin to get to know about the political structure of this shipibo community and also learn from their methods of preserving and managing natural ressources.
