IGLYO - The International LGBTQI Youth & Student Organisation works to strengthen the intersectional rights of LGBTQI youth, fights for equality and inclusion, and empowers LGBTQI youth voices through international events, capacity-building programmes, intercultural exchanges, thematic research and advocacy, online resources, and more. With anti-LGBTQI violence on the rise globally, donations are crucial for them to keep on empowering, supporting and protecting LGBTQI youth internationally.
Anti-LGBTQI hate is rising fast across the globe, and LGBTQI young people are the most vulnerable to it. Not only do they have to cope with this increasingly hostile climate, but they also face higher rates of school bullying, homelessness, violence, and discrimination in all aspects of life (education, healthcare, employment, etc.). This often results in having to hide or disguise their true identity, and leads to higher risks of developing mental health issues and suicidal thoughts.
At IGLYO, we put LGBTQI young people first: We advocate for their rights, we build their skills and confidence, and we offer them a close-knit youth-led international network. Our initiatives include international training and events, capacity-building programmes, intercultural exchanges and peer learning, thematic research and advocacy actions, online resources, networking activities, and many more. We strive to provide LGBTQI youth with a community that loves, supports and protects them.
Established in 1984, IGLYO is the world's largest organisation for LGBTQI youth, with over 115 Member Organisations in more than 40 countries. We foster a long-term impact that is truly sustainable: We advocate for LGBTQI young people, all the while teaching them how to advocate for their rights in their local context. Facing the increasingly hostile climate, donations are crucial for us to keep on growing a support system in which LGBTQI youth are protected, empowered and able to live freely.
