Sofía is a very smart young lady who has made the most of the support given to her by the GOD'S CHILD Project over the last 9 years. She is 14 years old and will be starting 9th grade this January thanks to the continued support of the GOD'S CHILD Project in El Salvador. Sofía lives with her mother, Rosa, and 3 siblings in a house that that Project built for the family in 2009. The scholarships and rice and beans that Sofía and her siblings receive from the Project have been a great blessing to the family since Rosa works as a nanny and earns just $100 per month which is not enough to provide for their basic needs such as food, clothes and an education.
Sofía knows that not all children in El Salvador are able to attend school because of the costs so she studies hard to make the most of this important opportunity and year after year is one of the top students in her class. Not only does she study hard but she also encourages her 3 younger siblings to do so as well. Sofía hopes to graduate as an elementary school teacher so that she can encourage other children to reach their dreams.
Thanks to your support we are able to provide children like Sofía with rice and beans but more importantly with the education they need so that when they grow up they can provide for their own families without having to depend on handouts from others. Thanks to you we are able to help make dreams come true.
Thank you for helping to make Sofía`s and many other children`s dreams a reality in El Salvador through your generous support. We hope that you will continue to support our cause by making another donation, sharing Sofía`s story with your friends and family, or following us on Facebook for even more updates.
