Thank you for donating to support our next cohort! Learn more about a few of their businesses below.
1. Kono Farm: Ephraim, founder of Kono Farm, raises edible snails. Kono produces snail meat and harvests the slime for the cosmetics industry. They also grind the shells, which are rich in calcium, to sell to farmers for animal feed.
2. Veekulture: Violet, founder of Veekulture, makes sustainable and affordable washable diapers for individuals living in informal settlements. These reusable diapers can save a parent $120 annually, roughly 6 months of rent in an informal settlement.
3. Earth Hub: Macharia, founder of Earth Hub, builds affordable and resilient housing in Kenyan urban settlements using interlocking bricks. Their construction costs are reduced by up to 40% because they don’t use costly cement.
We are grateful to work with you to support entrepreneurs to change the world.
