By Lynda Steiner | Hands around the World Project Co-ordinator
This is the tale of a typical child, an orphan, from the small town of Monze in the southern province of Zambia - we’ll call him Charlie.
Charlie is small for his age, but his smile is large and sincere. He rarely has breakfast, so by mid morning his stomach is rumbling and his hunger demands more of his attention than his teacher.
Fortunately, through the HATW Lunchbox Scheme, the school is able to provide the pupils with a simple, filling meal so Charlie and his friends have their hunger satisfied and are better able to concentrate, to learn and to smile.
Thank you!
