In three weeks I will be back in Monze. I have had the privilege of visiting every year for the past 15 years and have seen how PIZZ School has developed from a couple of classrooms in a converted shop to a school of over 400 children. More than that,it is a beacon of hope providing an opportunity for some of the most vulnerable children to have probably the best education in Monze.
There is no doubt that the meal is making a lot of difference to the children. I notice some children growing much healthier and this impacts on their learning and their results. More children are progressing to upper secondary school and even university.
I talk to many of the children each time I visit and they tell me about themselves and their dreams.
Christine is one of the children I recognise from previous years. She wants to be a nurse and sings in the choir.
Moshen told me that he enjoys all the subjects at school. He plays for a school football team. Moshen lives with his grandmother and told me that he would like to become a surgeon so that he would be able to help her.
Not everyone wants to go into medicine. Ruth used to want to be a teacher bur now fancies exploring England. She like music and is in the school choir – she says that she likes any music for God.
Thanks to supporters like you these children are developing into healthy intelligent children, thank you very much.
