Due to amazing community, donor, volunteer and staff support, we are excited to announce we have raised enough funds to move forward with installing the electricity.
After the government and the electricity company heard about this initiative, they decided to reduce the costs of installation to minimize costs on our end. We have now registered with an electricity company & arranged an agreement to get electricity installed at the Jambiani Community Centre!! In order to do this, we need to prepare an installation area, which will be in a shed within the grounds of the JCC. We need to fit wiring into the shed & plaster it into the walls, & this will be the access point where the electricity will be supplied to.
This electricity will not only supply electricity for Jambiani Center but also supply electrcitiy to the surrounding community and houses - a huge accomplishment for all!
The Jambiani community is incredibly thankful for this huge move forward, all which would not be possible without your incredible support.
Thank to you every single donor! We will be keeping you updated for the future plans ahead with the computer center and also installing a water source.
