A safety net for the Sumarin Family

Thank you for all that you do.

We are immensely grateful for your unwavering support, which played a pivotal role in assisting the Sumarin Family to reclaim their residence through the appropriate legal channels. In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of Israel upheld the family's entitlement to inhabit their home for two additional generations, an outcome we largely achieved thanks to your generosity and solidarity.

Your contributions went beyond immediate legal victories; they established a safety net for the Sumarin Family, preparing them for any potential adversities. This fund, nurtured by your donations, stands ready to assist the family with the financial burdens stemming from interest on a case they previously lost. This case involved a dispute with the ‘City of David’ organization over the appropriation of the family's orchard, a matter close to their hearts and our cause.

In recent months, our direct communication with the Sumarin Family has been limited. However, we assure you that we are diligently working to maintain open lines of communication through our trusted liaison, Rabbi Arik Ascherman. Rabbi Ascherman, the esteemed founder of the Sumreen Coalition, has been instrumental in supporting the family throughout their legal struggles and remains a key figure in our ongoing efforts to ensure their rights and well-being are safeguarded.

We promise to keep you updated with any new developments regarding the Sumarin Family’s situation. Your continued support enables us not only to aid the Sumarin Family but also to uphold the principles of justice and human rights in the face of adversity.

Thank you once again for everything you do. Your compassion and action are making a difference.
