Imagine a fruit that falls from the trees each year; if not used for traditional beer, the fruit goes ignored and is left to rot. Now, imagine if that same fruit could be transformed into a source of income, offering opportunity, and a brighter future for entire communities. This is the magic of one of our economic development projects: The Dvumisa creative marula oil project.
Our project operates in Maphiveni and Vuvulane, providing a source of income for local residents, particularly women. Through our dedicated team that works closely with the community, we're actively sourcing reliable suppliers of marula nuts; allowing us to directly uy from local residents and build a collaborative future. The meticulously collected nuts are then processed, creating a valuable product while also minimizing waste and providing a new economic opportunity.
But the benefits go far beyond immediate income. This economic development project is creating positive change. Traditionally, these communities rely heavily on a single source of income. Now, our project provides a vital alternative, offering women, especially older members, a chance to contribute financially and gain independence. This income stream provides families with greater financial security and champions the economic empowerment of rural women.
As we work to overcome challenges such as limited market access and seasonal harvests, we invite you to join us in accelerating the growth of this economic development project. Your contribution will help empower women and create a more equitable future, boost local economies and create a valuable product. Let's turn marula nuts into a powerful tool for positive change.
