The Christmas and New Year holidays were a chance to showcase the products made by the sewing group. The shop at Mantenga in Ezulwini (in Eswatini) was decked out with all the trappings for the holiday season. The ladies in the group and several other groups we work with made special products just for the holiday season.
As tourism slowly regains strength, we should see more and more people at the shop. Covid restrictions dealt the shop a major blow, with weeks going by without selling anything. Our US Board thought the investment in the economic development projects was worth subsidizing the shop costs, waiting for the end of the travel restrictions.
Happy, who manages the shop, brought a special cheer to the spirit of the shop!
