The Ukrainian Food Banks Federation (UFBF), the flagship of food banking in Ukraine, unites and coordinates the work of Food Banks in different regions of the country.
Their main goal is to feed as many Ukrainians as possible who, due to difficult life circumstances, military operations, and other crisis situations, suffer from a lack of the most basic human need - food.
As a full-scale war continues in Ukraine, they have started purchasing certain categories of goods to make their food kits as valuable as possible.
Each food kit contains 25 essential food products (about 16 kilograms) such as milk, flour, grains, fish, meats, rice, sugar, and oil. Seasonal products are added in each season.
Each food kit costs about 40 euros and allows the sustenance of 3 people for 2 weeks guaranteeing them a nutritional and balanced diet according to national standards relating to portions and quality.
With the total funds from this GlobalGiving Campaign being equal to: €3,642 that means we can purchase 91 Foodkits with the equivalent of 819 meals for 273 people over a 2 week period. These contributions were added to campaign results from Usyk's Foundation and other FEBA members in our network that, while servicing food for those in need in their countries, they also generously donated to the UFBF this winter
