As we have restuctured our programming sligtly to create a cohesive and clear pathway of activities for young people, which we hope will combine to lead them to success.
In order to help students to a successful outcome we have identified several key areas in which we need to have an impact: academic attainment, aspiration, confidence, knowledge of options after compulsory education and finally cultural capital and network building. All of our activites are geared towards making a difference in one of these critical areas. This includes organising 'STEM in Action Days', academic masterclasses, trips to universities and businesses.
We feel this project now closely overlaps with another project we are raising funds for on GlobalGiving. To avoid confustion we would like to direct all donations via a single project. We hope you are still interested in supporting our great work to encourage young peole into STEM careers, if so, see our other GlobalGiving project 'Engaging young people in STEM' project.
