The impact of your donations so far

Prakash shares news on what your donations have done so far in a community that usually provides schooling for children from marginalised communities. Prakash and the team have responded and adapted, using their skills to reach those who need it most:

“So far we distributed 600 parcels of food to the families of 25 villages who are most in need. We are also working to raise additional funds to cover more families. Our staff is also visiting the poorer families in the villages, understanding their problems and needs. Those who don’t have the required documents to receive government assistance that they’re entitled to, we are advocating for them so that they will get the support (in the form of rice and wheat) that they are entitled to. Our staff is also meeting the local leaders and encouraging them to form Disaster management committees so that they can be prepared for any next stages of the fight against the coronavirus. We are promoting preventative measures such as self-isolating and social distancing.

The situation is tense and people are scared. But we are doing our work without any serious barriers and we are doing our work as planned.”
