The Girl Child Foundation Uganda remains committed to ensuring that girls from vulnerable rural communities have the opportunity to access and complete their education. Poverty continues to be one of the greatest barriers to school attendance, forcing many girls to miss classes or drop out altogether. Through this project, we are helping to change that reality.
During this reporting period, we provided school fees, uniforms, textbooks, exercise books, and stationery to girls from extremely poor households. These essential resources have enabled beneficiaries to attend school consistently and participate fully in their learning. Parents have expressed relief and gratitude for the support, which has reduced the financial burden on their families.
To complement this assistance, the project continued to offer after-school tutoring and homework support. These sessions have helped learners strengthen their understanding of key subjects, improve academic performance, and gain greater confidence in their abilities. Many girls who previously struggled in class are now showing remarkable progress.
Scholarship support has also enabled promising students to transition to secondary school, opening doors to opportunities that once seemed out of reach. Education is not only transforming the lives of individual girls but also inspiring hope within entire communities.
We thank our donors and supporters for making this impact possible. Together, we are building brighter futures and empowering girls to achieve their full potential.
