The Girl Child Foundation Uganda remains dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for girls living in underserved rural communities. Many families continue to face economic hardships that make it difficult to afford school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and other essential learning materials. As a result, many girls are at risk of missing school or dropping out altogether.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we have continued to provide comprehensive educational support to vulnerable girls. During this reporting period, beneficiaries received school fees assistance, uniforms, textbooks, exercise books, and stationery, enabling them to remain in school and focus on their studies. This support has reduced absenteeism and increased school retention among participating girls.
In addition to financial assistance, our after-school tutoring and homework support programs have strengthened academic performance and improved learner confidence. These sessions provide girls with additional opportunities to ask questions, reinforce classroom lessons, and develop effective study habits. Teachers have reported encouraging improvements in attendance, participation, and examination performance.
Scholarships have also continued to support academically promising girls as they transition to secondary education. These opportunities are helping students pursue their educational goals without interruption and inspiring younger girls in their communities.
We are deeply grateful to our donors whose commitment to girls’ education is making a lasting impact. Together, we are advancing educational opportunities, empowering girls to achieve their potential, and contributing to stronger and more resilient communities.
