This project will help with medical expenses and the construction of four large natural habitats for eight big cats in need of emergency placement.
An animal facility was recently shut down by USDA officials. The surprise inspection revealed a number of animals underweight, serious medical conditions left untreated, inadequate food supplies on hand and other issues warranting the immediate removal of several large exotic animals. Keepers of the Wild was one of several reputable sanctuaries contacted to assist with animals needing emergency placement.
After a long 30 hour journey- three lions, two cougars, two leopards and one Canadian lynx arrived at the Keepers of the Wild sanctuary. They are currently being housed in quarantine enclosures. We have started on the construction of their habitats. This project will help with medical care expenses and the construction of four large natural habitats.
These animals will have a stable, loving, life-long home at Keepers of the Wild. They will receive the highest level of care and live the remainder of their lives in large natural habitats.
