We had a wonderful weekend; man, I love it when the kids have such fun and enjoy the activities we provide. We went to a new area that we are developing; we held training on Children’s Rights and Responsibilities combined with lots of games and engaging with the parents as well as the community.
I personally love the color run, its not so much a run but a color frenzy and a stiff walk through the village. I love the way the kids get so excited; as the anticipation builds, the smiles on their faces just get larger and larger. Once the color is tossed, it doesn’t stop there, they scurry around and pick up handfuls of paint powder from the ground and have a second and third go!!!!
Then there is the matter of comparing each other and looking to see who got the most paint on them and which color looks the best. I have posted some of the best contender’s, I hope you enjoy them.
These kids are from a new area we have recently opened, we have just started working in this area and it is difficult to see the living conditions of these kids, however just take them out for the day to have fun has had a wonderful impact on their mental health and as we start Scouts in the area and address the poverty through our Self Help Group Program, the future is looking bright!
Thank you for being a part of the fun and share in the joy you donations bring.
Blessings
Louise
