Dear Friends and Supporters of Keep The Dream196,

I want to share our recent events. Because of our success with Food for Life with the Scouts over the last 5years, in 2014 we were approached by National Development Agency to train 100 households in Permaculture in our district. We were so successful that prior to the completion of that project we were asked to roll the project out to Limpopo (our province/state). So for the last 5months we have been taking permaculture out to the province with over 120 participants and with 7 different projects and 2 schools.

What has also happened is that in this process we have identified one project to introduce the Children's project to and to roll that out to the area. It is so exciting to see people's enthusiasm for the garden project and for children. We have already established potential markets for these projects which means people are creating their own employment and their own salaries. The households are having nutrition rich produce and earning and income. The children are receiving quality, pesticide free, vitamin packed food which will aid in their development and performance at school. Its so exciting.

We also now have funding to run our Food For Life project again with some of our kids where they will earn badges and life skills for the future. The exciting part is also that through our efforts of encouraging change within Scouting in South Africa Food For Life is part of the national development program for cubs and scouts.

So I just wanted to share what is happening in our neck of the woods and to show you some photos of our activities over the past 5 months.

Thank you for all of your support and enabling this to happen. You are so appreciated and just to remind you Wednesday June 15th is a Global Giving Bonus day which means every donation receives 50% extra from GG. So please if you are thinking of continuing to support our work this day would be advantageous to maximise your donation. Otherwise please consider even a small monthly donation, this allows us to plan effectively and maximise your donation when we can rely on a regular donation.

Thank you once again, God Bless you all

Louise
