KHEL Gymnasts Triupmh in Sindh Games 2024

We are thrilled to share the inspiring achievements of Khel's gymnasts at the recent Sindh/National Games held in Karachi. Once again, our talented athletes proudly represented the Sindh Team, showcasing their exceptional skill and unwavering determination on the grand stage.

Sonia, Kiran, Anwara, and Aqsa demonstrated remarkable prowess, securing gold medals for their team with their outstanding performances. Their dedication and commitment have not only brought glory to Khel but also to the entire Sindh Team. In addition to our gold medalists, the promising young athlete, Habiba, exhibited extraordinary talent and resilience, clinching the bronze medal.

It's worth noting that many of our athletes hail from stateless backgrounds, overcoming significant challenges to pursue their passion for gymnastics. Their triumphs exemplify the resilience and determination of individuals striving to overcome adversity.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our athletes for their outstanding contributions, bringing honor and recognition to Khel and the entire Sindh Team. Together, they have set a shining example of determination, skill, and sportsmanship. Let's continue to celebrate their triumphs and support their journey towards even greater heights of success!

Sports Program Report: Gymnastics and Table Tennis

The Khel’s sports program for the 2022-2023 academic year has been a resounding success, with a strong focus on gymnastics and table tennis. This year, our students not only engaged in rigorous training but also participated in various events, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication.

Gymnastics Program: Our gymnastics program saw remarkable progress and accomplishments. Students of all ages participated in training sessions designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and overall athleticism with Ms. Mariam Keerio. Several of our gymnasts earned medals in local and regional competitions, demonstrating their commitment to the sport and the exceptional coaching provided by our dedicated staff.

Table Tennis Program: The table tennis program flourished, with students honing their skills and techniques through regular practice sessions. Our team of budding ping pong players competed in inter-school tournaments, where they exhibited impressive sportsmanship and skill. The program not only enhanced physical fitness but also promoted strategic thinking and quick reflexes among our students.

Participation in Events: Our school was well-represented in gymnastics events throughout the year. Following are the events that they participated in:

All Pakistan Gymnastics Championship – 23^rd October, 2022
- First Position – Samreen & Sonia (National Girls Team)
- Second Position – Abid & Faizan (National Boys Team
- First Position, Girls Team: Kiran, Anwara, Aqsa, Habiba, Areeba, Kulsoom
- Boys Individual Performance, First Position Floor: Abdul Rehman

Children Interschool Gymnastics Championship – 28^th November, 2023
- The girls team won the first position
- The boys team won 3^rd position

National Women Gymnastics Championship – 7^th January, 2023
- First position – Kiran, Anwara & Sonia

6^th Interschool Gymnastics Championship – 21^st January, 2023
- The girl's team won first position
- Best Girl Gymnast Award – Aqsa
- The boy's team won the third position

We are proud of the achievements of our students in these sports programs and look forward to further enhancing our offerings in the coming year. These activities have not only promoted physical fitness but also instilled values of perseverance, teamwork, and dedication among our students. We commend our students, coaches, and staff for their exceptional efforts and accomplishments in the realm of sports.

Khel Gymnasts makes it to the Sindh Team

We with pride want to re-introduce our athletes from Machar colony some of whom have represented Sindh and hope to represent Pakistan in the near future. We recently participated in the Aster School All Pakistan Gymnastics Championship.

The girls of Khel, that have been making us proud year after year, win after win. Their strength, dedication, and teamwork has us and all who witness them perform in awe. The team won the Best Gymnastics Team Championship and the Best Gymnast was Aqsa in the first position and Kiran bagged the 2nd position. In the floor exercise, Aqsa stood 1st, Habiba won the 2nd position, while Kulsoom bagged the 3rd. In Vault, Kiran flew high and won the 1st position. While the 2nd position and 3rd position title was given to Aqsa and Kulsoom respectively.

Some of our team members also made it to the Sindh team that won 1st position at the Championship. Sonia & Samreen represented Khel & Imkaan in the Sindh Team. Sonia won second position as best gymnast, balance beam, floor and individual performance, while Samreen won 3rd position in floor exercise.Our boys are gaining confidence and gearing up to make the best team from Machar Colony. Ghafoor Shah and Abid Shah Alam were part of the under 15 Sindh team. The Sindh team were runner ups at the championship. Representing Khel, Abdul Rehman won 2nd position in floor and spring board.

A shout-out to our Imkaan team! Our coaches Furqan Raja and Adeel Abbasi make sure these guys train and put their best foot/flip forward. Nasira Khan, the wonderful coordinator and the head honcho at Khel, keeps everyone in line. Parvez Akhtar, without whom our day-to-day activities would never go smoothly.

Last but never least the Founder & Director Ms. Tahera Hasan, whose passion, sincerity, and empathy have carved a way of hope, respect, and love for everyone she works with.
