We have been working hard to progress our efforts to raise much needed funds for purchase of a cancer diagnosis machine for CUH in Cork, Ireland. Our target overall is $100,000 and all donations that we have received that help us to reach towards this target are greatly appreciated. We have received over $1720 so far on this particular project.
We now have approx $80,000 raised across all our fundraising efforts and the funds raised through this GlobalGiving initiative go greatly to helping us towards that goal.
We have been engaging with Dr. Dearbhaile Collins in plans to purchase the machine very soon. We hope to do so after our next Karen Fenton Memorial Run which we are hosting on April 19th, 2020. Activities are in full swing in planning for that important annual fundraising event.
Other activities that we are continuing to engage on include stands in shopping centres such as recently at Wilton Shopping Center near CUH in Cork. These small events help to raise awareness for this deadly disease and any small donations we receive go towards our overall goal.
We are also continuing to engage in fundraising through the sale of Keep Cups - and promoting sustainability - in honour of Karen who was such as avid sustainability advocate.
Kind regards
