Thank you so much for donating to the Kimbilio project to build a multi-purpose Day Centre in Lubumbashi. This is a going to transform the support that we can give to the children living on the streets.
The first stage of the big project was to purchase land in the city centre and this has been achieved. We are now fundaising for the construction of the ground floor of the new centre. It's a big total to raise, but with your help, we are well on the way to achieving this.
We should be encouaged by how well the last building project, the new Kimbilio School, is doing. There are now 367 pupils! Twenty-three of the junior-age pupils come from the Kimbilio houses and nine of the secondary age pupils. The remaining pupils live in the area surrounding the school and include many who cannot afford the fees for state schools.
