Thank you so much for your financial support for the Kimbilio Project to build a new Day Centre in the centre of Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is the biggest Project that we have embarked on. Currently we are using the Cathedral premises, but it is necessary that we are able to offer improved facilities to the increasing number of children who find themselves living on the streets.
The new purpose built Day Centre will provide a safe place for children to come off the streets for care and support.They will be offered food, medical care, clean water & the opportunity to find their families if this is possible & safe.
The opportunity to turn around the lives of children who, through no fault of their own, find thermselves living on the streets is such an important mission and our Congolese team know how to care for the children, identify their needs and provide appropriate help. Apart from food and clothing, the children may need reassurance and love and a placer of safety to stay.
