It does not sound very spectacular, but it has been "business as usual". We are caring for the girls while the older four girls now also play a role in looking after, educating, and mentoring the younger ones.
Our older girls who are now involved in tertiary education are doing fine. Although for a number of them - who have come from such remote places - studying competitively in the big city is a big task for them. Still, they are developing nicely.
Our house parents have been busily visiting the girls' parents in Murshidabad District and at the same time hearing about new girls who are possibilities to be selected in the next intake. Commonly now, it is the parents' of the girls who will recommend very needy girls to us. It was not always like this! To begin with, our work had no reputation, and so people did not trust us and were afraid to allow girls to come to us. But now that we have built a reputation over 10 years, it is all fine and positive in this regard.
Once again, we would like to thank you for your kind support of our organisation.
