Most of our girls are in high school, while four more are still studying at primary level. You can see photos of them below.
I was excited to visit the centre where they live and to meet with the staff as well. Our house parents are very dedicated to the task of caring for the girls. They do not view their role as simply just a job. It is wonderful to see how their hearts are in on this project.
There are no particular problems that we are directly encountering at the moment, except for the larger cultural issue that hangs over the work. This was described in my previous report when I described how we had lost five girls who were about to complete high school and who had decided instead to return to their rural villages and marry. It was quite heartbreaking seeing 16-year-old girls curtail their education like this. But on a more positive note, some of these girls have married quite well, with husbands and families who are quite stable.
Please continue supporting our project as we seek to protect vulnerable girls from sex trafficking. Thanks so much for your help.
