Where there was loss, today hope grows

By Maria Angela Serrano | Directora

Dear donors and friends of Ladrillo Verde, we send you our warmest greetings.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the invaluable support you have given us. Thanks to your solidarity, we have been able to sustain and advance our mission of accompanying the most vulnerable communities.

The prolonged drought and forest fires that occurred in the second half of 2024 had a devastating impact on our natural environment. Hundreds of crops and extensive areas of fertile land were destroyed, directly affecting the food security of our families and weakening one of the community's main sources of economic livelihood. These losses have profoundly impacted the food security and income of dozens of families, especially affecting our children and elderly, who live in the most vulnerable conditions. The remoteness and limited access to basic resources have made our work even more urgent.
However, we are not alone. Thanks to you, we have been able to take concrete actions to begin the recovery process. Among the main achievements of these months we highlight: The rehabilitation of community plots through the use of natural fertilizers and reforestation of eroded areas. The supply of basic medicines for the attention of emergencies and common illnesses, which have been crucial during this time. Emotional and educational support activities for children and young people affected by the losses suffered.

Despite the challenges, our community continues to move forward with hope, conviction and collective effort. Each small step forward is the fruit of your generosity and a network of solidarity that strengthens us. We know that the road to reconstruction is long, but we also know that we are not alone.
Today, more than ever, we invite you to continue walking with us. Your help continues to be essential to guarantee dignified, safe and sustainable conditions for our families. Thank you for believing in our project, for trusting in the capabilities of this community and for being an active part of this process of transformation and hope.

With deep gratitude,
 Green Brick

We invite you to continue supporting us because together we are stronger.
