The new Mayama Center will benefit a total of 900 direct beneficiaries who approximately annually benefit from the educational model. The Center officially began construction in November 2023, completed its white work construction in March of this year, and its inauguration is scheduled for April 2025.
In addition, the final phase of equipment and the environmental component of the Center is currently being coordinated. This phase has received support from donors to enable the installation of 63 EcoGardens and a recycling island. The aim is to create a circular process around the Mayama dining hall, where organic waste generated by these operations will be composted by the organization, and the resulting product will serve as natural fertilizer for the community gardens. These gardens will provide food supplies that will be returned to the Mayama kitchen to be transformed into breakfasts and meals for the children participating in Mayama.
