Paws For a Cause - Emergency Pet Relief in Lebanon

By Salah Kamal | Founder & President

PROJECT STATUS
Funds Raised:
$1,468 of $10,000 goal (14.68%)
Donors: 11 (including 1 monthly donor)
Status: Active preparation phase, coordinating with local partners
SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS
Since our last report, we've achieved meaningful momentum:
290% funding increase - from $376 to $1,468
New monthly donor secured for sustained support
• Strengthened partnerships with local Lebanese animal welfare organizations
• Enhanced coordination protocols with veterinary partners on the ground
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
Partnership Development:
• Finalized rescue protocols with local shelter partners
• Established veterinary care networks in affected areas • Coordinated with community volunteers for pet identification and rescue
Preparation Phase:
• Mapped high-need areas where abandoned pets are concentrated
• Developed feeding station logistics and supply chain
• Created a medical care prioritization system for injured animals
CHALLENGES
Funding gap remains - Need $8,532 more to reach operational threshold
Escalating crisis - Increasing numbers of abandoned pets as conflict continues
Urgent timeline - Animals facing immediate starvation and medical emergencies
Resource limitations - Current funding insufficient for full-scale rescue operations
EXPENDITURE PLAN When $10,000 goal reached:
Animal Food (35%) - $3,500 for feeding stations and emergency nutrition
Veterinary Care (30%) - $3,000 for medical treatment and emergency surgeries
Shelter Support (20%) - $2,000 for temporary housing and safe spaces
Operations (15%) - $1,500 for transportation, supplies, and coordination
NEXT QUARTER GOALS
Reach $5,000 milestone (50% funded) to begin pilot rescue operations
Grow to 25+ donors with focus on monthly giving program
Launch targeted social media awareness campaign about Lebanon's abandoned pets
Begin limited field operations when 50% funding threshold reached
Rescue first 20-30 pets in pilot phase
IMPACT POTENTIAL Target:
200+ abandoned pets in Lebanon conflict zones Services:
Emergency food distribution, medical care, shelter, adoption coordination Community Impact: Education programs, responsible pet ownership awareness, reduced stray population
LOOKING FORWARD The 290% increase in funding demonstrates growing awareness of this urgent crisis. With $1,468 raised from 11 compassionate donors, we're approaching the critical threshold to begin rescue operations. Every abandoned pet in Lebanon faces immediate danger from starvation, injury, and harsh conditions.
Our local partners are ready to deploy the moment we reach operational funding levels. The addition of our first monthly donor shows commitment to sustained impact, and we're building momentum toward our $10,000 goal.
These silent victims of conflict deserve our compassion and action.
